Our April gig is cancelled!
This is just a quick heads-up to anyone who was planning on coming to our April session of the Tequila Bookworm monthly in Toronto that we've had to last-minute cancel the gig; nothing serious was the cause but we'll be back in action next month - and warm spring weather will see the return of the back patio being open :)

1st edition - SXSW 2011 recap
Within-industry collaboration an ever-increasingly important aspect of working in Communications today. The Media Social is a monthly event focused on encouraging dialogue between professionals in the media industry.
This party is a special session of our Tequila monthly that will welcome people post-work/dinner at 7PM for drinks and schmoozing and then develop into a party from about 9PM as the night runs on.
The plan is to get people together who have just returned to Toronto from Austin, Texas' SXSW Interactive festival to share their experiences and insights from the conference/merriment... (Kind of like a post- http://canl.it experience)
* Please help us get organized and RSVP on Facebook...
* This event is sponsored by the folks at port25.ca !
Peace in The Middle East: Our Tequila Monthly - February 25, 2011
Kicking off the 2011 series of our monthly event at Tequila Bookworm residents Lee Dale and Abdul Smooth step to the decks for another session of eclectic beats.
This time round we're raising our musical fists to the air in solidarity with the people struggling against tyranny and suppression in the Middle East region - inspired by their commitment to achieving peaceful democracy and change in the countries they call home.
The selection of beats will include our picks from 2010 (which we'll be featuring in 2 upcoming podcast episodes) and an array of arab, afro and persian cuts!
This is, as usual, a free gig. Please help us spread the word via email, facebook and twitter and get as many of your friends out to share our good vibes!!! :)
See you soon!
The Indian Electronica website re-launch party
Indian Electronica is a Toronto, Canada based Arts organization focused on promoting modern aesthetics in music paired with South Asian tradition....
Founded in 2002 IE has spawned an international music festival, radio streams, podcasts and a record label. Recently they've been working on a complete overhaul of their website and we're proud to host the international launch party at People Downtown.
This event will be live-streamed in both audio and video - check back for links on the day of the event.
As usual, we'll have special guests dropping by to jump on the decks plus some very special visuals mixed by Abdul Smooth with media shot at Indian Electronica Festivals in NYC, London, Bombay & Toronto since 2006 - plus a smorgasbord of bolly classic visuals etc...

Thanks again to everyone who made it out to celebrate both Halloween and Lee's Birthday! We had a great time hosting you and playing music alongside our guests from Vital.
DrupalCamp 2010 Closing Party
We're going to be spinning beats and performing live visuals at a bar called the Pilot in Toronto's Yorkville neighborhood this coming Saturday night - the gig is to celebrate the end of a 2 day (un?)conference called DrupalCamp which is all about discussing Drupal - that very same Open Source software which powers our own website!
The event is totally free and kicks off early, we aren't supposed to close at a specific time so if enough folks come out we'll rock the place till late! (hint: tell your peeps to come down and jam!)
See you there...
